CHIRRP / PUMP-COR integrates climate and hydrologic modeling with participatory GIS and scenario planning to support community-centered flood resilience in Great Lakes communities.
Research focus
The project examines how compound flood risk can be translated into information that communities can use. Rather than treating hydrologic models and local knowledge as separate inputs, the work brings them together through participatory mapping and scenario-based decision support.
Current places
Current work includes Benton Harbor and Milwaukee, with related Great Lakes flood-resilience research informing the broader program.
